It's our favorite day of the week, Feature Friday! 🙌 Each week we'll be introducing you to our favorite spots in our hood! This week we're excited to be talking Common Market in South End!
"Where an uncommon idea takes root into a common ground" couldn't be a better description of this South End gem. The Common Market originated in Plaza Midwood in 2002 and opened its original South End location shortly after in 2008. After an unforgettable run in South End, growth took over and an office space filled what once was a neighborhood go to for good times. Flash forward to today and THEY ARE BACK!
When you step through the doors of Common Market South End, you're instantly surrounded by funky decor, friendly neighbors (and astronauts), tasty beer, and delicious food. There’s a feel about the Common Market that you don’t feel just anywhere and that’s exactly what they’re aiming for. When asked what brought them back Graham Worth said “We opened the new South End with the intention of renewing the sense of community the old store brought to South End. What is great about the Common Market is that each store is unique in its own way from others- truly taking the character of the neighborhood. We provide the basic framework for a great retail experience in a funky, open environment and let the customers do the rest of the work to create the fabric of the individual store. And we are pumped to be back!” Well Graham, we are pumped to have you back!
Next time you find yourself looking to kill some time, regardless of the time of day, we highly recommend heading to The Common Market South End. You can count on seeing us around quite a bit!
